The Home Care Association of America (HCAOA) published, Home Care Providers Can Benefit from VetAssist Program in their July 14 issue of Home Care Insider. The article featured a video depicting how VetAssist helps agencies solve problems like client turnover and supporting clients who can’t afford care.
Home Care Insider is a trade publication for members of the HCAOA. Veterans Home Care is one of 4,000 home care agencies that belong to the HCAOA which strives to provide member agencies with practical resources, leadership, and education for the advancement of home care and provide a strong unified voice to speak to the issues of concern within the home care industry. The HCOA also advocates for caregivers and brings together innovators and suppliers to help people as they age.
The HCAOA article focuses on the difference between Veterans Home Care’s VetAssist Program and others who only offer veteran families help with the VA’s Aid and Attendance claim application or others who fall short on all the services delivered by VetAssist. Without the full service of the VetAssist Program, including a 0% interest-free loan to clients, home sign-up visits and client consultation, many would not qualify for the VA Aid and Attendance benefit.
VetAssist assists home care providers with smart technology for their clients and online tools to efficiently send referrals. Providers can easily check eligibility using their smartphone with the VetAssist smart phone app or website.
The article also lists the benefits of the VetAssist Program and important links for home care agencies and adult daycare providers.
Veterans Home Care will be a daily sponsor with their experts on hand at the upcoming 2021 HCOA Annual Leadership Conference September 26-17 in Orlando Florida at the Hilton-Orlando.
