  • The VetAssist Program helps those veterans or their surviving spouses who choose to apply for a little-known benefit from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and use the benefit primarily for in-home care or adult daycare. The benefit is called “Aid and Attendance.”

Veterans must have served at least 1 day during wartime. For this VA benefit and for the VetAssist Program, combat duty, overseas service or a disability related to the veteran's service in NOT required.

    Vietnam Era: August 5, 1964 -- May 7, 1975 Or served in the country of Vietnam February 28, 1961 -- August 5, 1964

(In-home care is non medical care such as help with bathing, dressing, light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders and more.)

  • Monetary Screening Questions

  • If you answered "Yes" to all of these questions, it appears you or your loved one may be eligible for the VetAssist Program and the VA's Pension with Aid and Attendence.

With your permission, we can assist you further with the VA's application process including helping you gather the necessary documents. Most important, if you qualify for the VetAssist Program, we can get your home care started right away. You will not need to wait for the VA to process your application and for VA funds to arrive. A Veterans Home Care/VetAssist representative will be calling you soon. Before then, feel free to call 888-314-6075 to learn more and continue the process.

If you answered "No" to any of these questions, it appears you are not eligible for the VetAssist Program. You may want to contact a veteran service organization for help with your VA benefits.

If you answered "Unsure" to any of these questions, you may want to call us at 888-314-6075 or email us at info@veteranshomecare.com or visit our website www.veteranshomecare.com to learn more.
