Congratulations to Veterans Home Care Field Representative Ann Cervenka and her assistant, Lacey Frasier, for being nominated as candidates for the Annual Claude Pepper Award by Northland Professionals in Aging. NPA is an association of senior care professionals in an area that encompasses several western Missouri counties, and includes St. Joseph and Kansas City, MO.

This is the 24th year that NPA will present the award, named for the late Claude Pepper, who was a U.S. senator and representative from Florida and an advocate for the elderly. He served many years as chairman of the House Select Committee on Aging.

NPA gives the award to honor a professional who serves senior citizens and who exemplifies the ideals of Rep. Pepper, through service to the community. The award winner will be announced at the NPA’s annual Claude Pepper Lunch on May 28th.
