Bonnie Laiderman, American Red Cross’s Tiffany Circle, Attends Women’s Leadership Summit

Bonnie with Cynthia Erickson, CEO of the American Red Cross, Greater St. Louis Chapter

Bonnie Laiderman, newly inducted into the American Red Cross’s Tiffany Circle, recently attended the organization’s national Women’s Leadership summit in Washington, D.C.

Highlights of the weekend-long event included tours of Red Cross Headquarters and speakers from the international Red Cross community. Among the speakers was Fatima Gailani, who has served as the President of the Afghan Red Crescent Society since 2004 (pictured in front of the Tiffany glass windows for which the Tiffany Circle is named).

“This has been an exhilarating experience,” Bonnie said. “The weekend has been filled with stories of generosity, heroism and triumph in the face of horrific disasters and human tragedies. I’m so proud to be a part of this amazing organization. I feel that the work of Veterans Home Care, which helps so many indigent veterans and their widows, and the work of the Red Cross really complement one another. Both are committed to helping others, saving lives and being a community resource.”
