About Veterans Home Care
Through our unique VetAssist® Program, Veterans Home Care® assists aging veterans and their spouses apply for and maintain a benefit offered by the Department of Veteran Affairs called Aid and Attendance. Aid and Attendance is a monthly payment that can be used to secure in home health services for qualifying veterans or their spouses so that they can safely remain in the family home where they are most comfortable. Veterans Home Care provides these services at no cost to the veteran or the family.
The California Association for Health Services at Home (CAHSAH) is a nonprofit association representing California’s home care providers. Established in 1966, CAHSAH is one of the oldest and largest state home care associations with a long tradition of service dedicated to promoting quality home care and enhancing the effectiveness of the home care industry.
CAHSAH represents over 950 provider locations of Medicare Certified and licensed home health agencies, hospices, providers of non-medical personal care service in the home, home infusion pharmacies, and over 100 affiliate members including suppliers of products, computer companies, consulting firms, and insurance providers.
