Veterans Home Care Honors Our Vets at 32nd Annual Veterans Day Parade

St. Louis, MO – Veterans Home Care celebrated with several thousand St. Louisans at the 32nd Annual Veterans Day Parade held in downtown  St. Louis on November 7, 2015. Virginia Havens and Mark Zimmer from Veterans Home Care’s St. Louis office set up an informational booth at the parade and distributed packets regarding the VetAssist® Program and the Aid and Attendance Pension.

“It was a great pleasure to honor and spend the day with our veterans and their families,” said Mark Zimmer, Business Development Lead at VHC. “The VetAssist Program has helped over 11,000 veterans and their surviving spouses receive the in home care they need to remain in their homes. Having an opportunity to meet and explain the program and its benefits face to face was great because many people think the program is too good to be true when they first hear about it.”

This year’s parade had a distinct Vietnam era flavor as the 2015 Grand Marshals, who incidentally are all from St. Louis, served in that wartime period.
